about CCAC

The Cedar City Arts Council mission is to support local artists in the folk, literary, visual, and performing arts in Cedar City and the surrounding area. By speaking with a collective voice, we seek to have a greater impact on the development of the arts in our community.

The Cedar City Arts Council’s vision is to:

  • develop Cedar City as a principal center for the arts in southern Utah
  • provide synergistic enhancement of the community's vitality and economic development through the promotion of the arts through collaboration with the artistic community
  • provide artistic education, entertainment, and enrichment for residents and visitors alike
  • honor and encourage the creative spirit, especially through the ongoing recognition and celebration of the city's cultural heritage
  • provide communication between artists and the community

There are many ways to volunteer and assist the Cedar City Arts Council in making their mission and vision become a reality. A few ways for you to consider are:

  • participate as an artist in CCAC sponsored festivals and events
  • help sustain CCAC through fund raising and grant writing
  • become a CCAC Board member or serve on a planning committee
